    The California Coast

From San Diego to Los Angeles to Big Sur, the California Coast is a magical place. We visited friends in the two big cities of Southern California before roadtripping up the Pacific Coast Highway.

    Viva Las Vegas

It was a bit of a Geiger reunion in Sin City. My Grandma and Aunt Lisa flew in via Milwaukee while my Uncle Steve drove down from St. George, Utah. Not wanting to miss the action, I decided to drive up and join them… who can say no to Vegas!

    Getting Wild In San Diego

San Diego: the birthplace of California and currently the state’s second largest city. Only a 5 hour drive from Phoenix, it was time for me to visit “America’s Finest City”. TUBS and I packed up the Dew Mobile and made the drive out after work for a little getaway.

The Move Out West: AZ or Bust

I find moving to always be a weird mix of emotions. This is definitely amplified when you are moving 2,000 miles away. This is what my best friend, TUBS, and I just underwent. Accompanied by my dad, we took five days to make the journey from Wisconsin to our new home in the Southwest.

After a long week of backbreaking work putting in a motocross trail out in Fort Dodge, IA, I was in much need of a week long break. It just so happened that this same week my parents were on vacation in Nashville, so we decided it would be fun to have another family vacation together.

I headed to Phoenix, Arizona this past week under the pretext that I would watch my Uncle Steve’s house for the week while he was in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Of course, it was more just of a vacation of my own! After a connecting plane to Minneapolis, I jetted down to Sky Harbor International and by 11:30 was greeted by my dad at Steve’s house! He was staying for the first few days as well.

    Sin City

Last week I traveled to Sin City for the first time. I didn’t have a lot of money to spend, which was definitely limiting in a place like Vegas, but I still had a great time. I was with 3 Singaporeans I have become good friends with here in the Canyon. Their flight left out of Vegas and I was happy to oblige as their chauffeur.

    A Capitol Adventure

So the idea that I dreamed up last winter was finally coming true… I was going to D.C. The plan wasn’t going to be exact (Stephen bailed last second and Ernie couldn’t go either), but it was happening nonetheless. Instead, it would be Cody and TUBS accompanying me on a journey to pick up my roommate Kenn and bringing him back to Dubuque for the Fall semester.
